Parent Forum

Thursday 15th September 11.00 - 12.00pm

We have now set up an informal 'parent forum' to help us learn more about what families need in the area. Ideas from the initial meeting were that:

• the centre should organise a day out to a farm / activity centre
• an evening meal out for parents or carers in the local area
• that regular centre attendees could help the staff with certain tasks during sessions (ie snack times, loading dishwasher etc)

As a result of that meeting we have had our first day trip which was to Godstone Farm. We are also receiving help from a number of parents during the session - thank you, all help is appreciated!

Have your Say

We are looking to welcome more parents and carers into our Forum. Meetings will be approximately quarterly, and children may accompany you! The next meeting is at 11am on Thursday 15th September when we will discuss topics such as:

• another group trip
• ways to reach more of the families in the area
• suggestions for activities to run during the sessions
• other ways in which we can support the community with your help

Please come along to the meeting if you are interested in helping us continue to improve and develop the support and services that we offer. If you would like to join our Forum but cannot make this date, please speak to one of the members of staff so we can ensure you are kept updated.
